Championship Belts

In June 2008, I won 2 titles in the Songhay Taekwondo category at the World Championships held in Little Rock, Arkansas. Many people didn’t know that I was a Fourth Degree Black Belt in Taekwondo. Many people have asked me how I managed to attain the title of World Champion in Forms & Weapons. Angela Valdosta Technical College invited me to speak at A Gathering of Eagles, the annual conference for leaders. This conference was where I shared some of the training principles that helped me achieve this goal.

These principles are a powerful tool to make you a better leader in your company and a great partner, parent, or family member. These rules will make you a success in every area of your life, no matter your goal. One of my main lessons learned was that the goal is not to reach the goal but to become what you are in the process. You are looking for things people don’t usually do and are willing to do things most people wouldn’t be able to. You must be able to complete any task in the time and amount of time that is necessary. Prepare to pay. The rewards of reaching your goal are usually worth it. You won’t regret it if you stay on the right path. You have to be open to going further than the majority. Do not compromise on your true capabilities smoking skull belt.

You will be able to succeed even if you fail. Depressed after returning from my October 2007 trip to the Taekwondo Fall National Tournament, I was devastated. I wasn’t a top performer at any of the events. I was competing against some of the best athletes in the country, and my performance wasn’t as good as theirs. I decided to do my best in my training. After I was done with my work, I would continue training each day. I didn’t want any breaks in my efforts over the eight months. I would do my best to win the 2008 World Championships. I didn’t want to live with the knowledge that if I had trained as hard as I could at any point in my journey, I might have been able to win.
